10 ways YOU can use Graphic Design for social change! ~ 5. Design Ignites Change Program

Following my previous post “Lets use graphic design for social change!” I am creating a series of posts where I will explore 10 ways YOU can use Graphic Design for Social Change. Todays idea: 5. Join Design Ignites Change

Join Design Ignites Change

Teach our younger generation to value design, community service and real-world solutions. Become a mentor for underserved high school students and run a Design Ignites Change program. Design Ignites Change is a collaboration between the Adobe Foundation and Worldstudio. The program engages high school and college students in design projects that address pressing social issues. It exposes young people to design thinking and gives them an opportunity to apply their creativity to address social issues and problems that exist in their own communities.

“Design can and must become a way in which young people can participate in changing society.”
Victor Papanek, Design for the Real World
